Indoor Recreation Facility Feasibility Study
The City of Valdez Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department has retained CSL International and Perkins & Will to conduct a feasibility study for a multi-use recreation center/indoor recreation facility. The study will analyze and determine whether a new facility is feasible, and if so, the appropriate type, size, and location of such a facility. It is imperative that any new facility meets the needs of all citizens and potential users groups.
You Are Invited!
To ensure all citizens have the opportunity to participate in the planning process and provide feedback, we continue to gather community feedback through our interactive Build-a-Center Worksheet. This process will allow citizens to voice their opinions regarding the proposed facility, across topics as preferred event types, location, amenities, and other facility-related issues.
You are invited to fill out a Build-a-Center Worksheet! The worksheet includes a list of priced items you may choose from to put together your “ideal recreation center” while staying under a specified budget. Instructions on how to complete the exercise are included at the top of the worksheet. Please email completed worksheets back to email@example.com or turn them in at the Recreation Center (414 W. Hanagita St.). All worksheets are due no later than 5:00pm on Friday, July 30.
In addition, the Build-a-Center Menu includes more detail regarding the various facility elements described within the worksheet. If you prefer to complete the worksheet electronically, please refer to this document as you complete your worksheet.
