City of Valdez Schedule for the Week of December 4th 2022 to December 10th 2022:

NOTICE OF SUBDIVISION/REPLAT- ALPINE HEIGHTS 2023 SUBDIVISION- A re-subdivision of Parcel 2A and Tract A Alpine Heights Subdivision (plat 2019-10) at 5200 Richardson Highway has been proposed. The preliminary plat will go before the Planning and Zoning Commission for approval and public comment on December 14th, 2022 at 7:00PM. NOTICE OF SALE- VESSEL- GRAND CENTRAL-  Notice is given that the City of Valdez intends to sell this vessel pursuant to the process outlined in VMC 11.04.130(H). Sale will occur by sealed bid at 1:30 PM on December 21, 2022. For more information contact the Valdez Harbormaster at 907-835-4981.

CITY PERMANENT FUND COMMITTEE MEETINGThe City Permanent Fund Committee will meet Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from noon to 2:15 PM. Contact Finance Department staff at 907-834-3461 with any question or for additional information.

APPLICATION PERIOD OPEN FOR VALDEZ BEAUTIFICATION MATCHING GRANT- The 2023 application period is open for the Valdez Beautification Matching Grant Program. Applications are due March 9th 2023 at 5 PM.  Valdez businesses and commercial property owners are invited to apply for this funding to complete aesthetic upgrades to their property. 

REMOVAL OF PERSONAL PROPERTY FROM CITY SNOW LOTS REQUIRED- All personal property must be removed from city snow lots in a timely manner. Failure to remove personal property may result in a citation or vehicle impoundment for impeding snow removal activities. Direct questions the the Public Work Department at 907-835-4473.
