Street Maintenance
In the summer the City Shop crews are responsible for street maintenance involving asphalt repair, pothole patching, drainage, and street sweeping. The City Shop crews also spend the summer months repairing signage, painting of storm drains, brush cutting, and gravel road maintenance. The City Shop crews also help with water / sewer digs, utility turn on and turn off, as well as locating water and sewer services for the public.
Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance
The City Shop maintenance department is responsible for the acquisition, management, maintenance, and disposal of more than 115 vehicles and heavy equipment. The majority of these fall in two categories: light duty and heavy duty. The City Shop provides service from maintenance and rebuilds. It is our responsibility to preserve the community's investment in the fleet.
