This is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to all qualified firms, teams, partnerships and corporations, hereafter referred to as Respondent, to submit a proposal for a completed design project for Meals Hill Park. The City desires to procure the services of Respondent to bring the current 35% Preliminary Engineering Report to 95% shovel ready design, and the other trail elements included in a American Rescue Plan Act Economic Development Administration Travel, Tourism, and Outdoor Recreation Grant application. The Respondent supplying this service must be adept in landscape architecture, trail engineering and design of park amenities and projects. Respondents will be working with a steering committee to help provide direction for the project.

The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a quote, to reject any and all quotes without cause, and to re-solicit for quotes.
Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.
Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.
The City of Valdez encourages disadvantaged, minority and women-owned firms to respond and is available to assist said firms in learning how to do business with the City.
