The range of services includes, but is not limited to:
The City of Valdez is soliciting proposals to include qualifications and basic cost information from qualified firms to provide Civil Construction Administration Services and Special Inspections during construction of Pavement Management Phase III Whalen Avenue and the St. Patrick Subdivision Projects. Additionally, the City will use this solicitation for other special inspections and construction administration services as needed throughout the 2022 construction season.
Submissions should meet criteria identified in section D and firms will submit one (1) proposal electronically through the City’s drop box application:

Submissions will be accepted now through March 18, 2022, at 4:00pm
Questions will be accepted until 4:00pm Friday, March 11, 2022, and can be submitted to Brad Sontag, Project Manager, via email at: Brad Sontag

The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a quote, to reject any and all quotes without cause, and to re-solicit for quotes.
Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.
Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.
The City of Valdez encourages disadvantaged, minority and women-owned firms to respond and is available to assist said firms in learning how to do business with the City.
The City of Valdez “Standard Specifications and Standard Details” shall be used.
