This project includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
Solicit proposals from janitorial contractors to provide janitorial service at the Harbormaster Building and Facilities, B-Float and New Harbor Comfort Stations, New Harbor Warehouse and Facilities, Pool, Comfort Stations, Outhouses, and Goldfield Restrooms.
This Request for Proposals is a continuation of the Request for Quotes for 2022 Janitorial Service that was put out to bid August 31, 2021. The Special Provisions section of the Request for Quotes for 2022 Janitorial Service will serve for this Request for Proposals as well, but where there is conflict, especially with frequencies, this document supersedes the original Request for Quotes. A link to the original Request for Quotes for 2022 Janitorial Service (2022 Janitorial Services - Bid Package) is listed below for reference only.
The contractor will note the number of cleanings they are willing to provide for each area within the Group at the budgeted amount to the specifications provided on the Quote Schedule in the Request for Proposals - 2022 Janitorial Service document.

Request for Proposal documents may also be downloaded from the links below. Quoters are encouraged to download, fill out, and return the Request for Addendum / Plan Holders List form located at the link listed below to ensure receipt of any addendum issued for this project.
The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a quote and to reject any and all quotes without cause.
Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.
Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.
The City of Valdez encourages disadvantaged, minority and women-owned firms to respond and is available to assist said firms in learning how to do business with the City.
The City of Valdez “Standard Specifications and Standard Details” shall be used.
